If you are a creator of Art, we have a challenge & opportunity for you.

Tenino Arts is Celebrating ARToBER in TENINO!

With the Tenino Area Chamber of Commerce and the Creative District as partners, we have put together A Fine Arts Showcase to SHOW-OFF the Creativity and Talent in our area…. with a particular theme.

Tenino has a long history of creating & contributing art to our community… to continue the celebration of the new metal banners to be displayed around town, we have chosen the word “METAL” as our artistic theme or prompt.

Use your imagination & think way outside the box. Or simply be literal. It’s up to you to create a piece of artwork that resonates in someway with “metal.”

These creations will be on display in the Historic Downtown area for 3 weeks. And three awards will be given out… The People’s Choice, The Chamber’s Choice and The Tenino Metal Master’s Choice. The three winners will each receive a gift basket and ribbon.

We have a few simple rules:
Open to Artists: age 14 and older who reside in Thurston Co or live within 25 miles of downtown Tenino (a portion of our Lewis Co neighbors).
Size: The final art must have one measurement of at least 4” and no measurement larger than 12”.
Medium: All of the tradition art mediums are welcome in 2d or 3d formats. Nothing flammable please. And no food, organic matter or botanicals that could biodegrade/decompose are allowed. If you have any questions regarding materials, please contact us.
Content: Family Friendly and non-divisive – this is a celebration.
